LIGHTING
SUPERVISOR

This was my first show as Lighting Supervisor. Setting up the show I created templates & carried out shot work. Due to a compressed timeline, communication was essential between departments, TDs & production. The Lead & I provided pre-defined templates & location setups, automating as much as possible for our 15 artists. I was integral in providing artistic & technical direction throughout the project.

ANTMAN
ARENA

The Antman Arena asset was our hero asset. On-set, sunlight was diffused & the location was lit with numerous light arrays. This provided controlled, warm light to offset cooler tones. We investigated & emulated the on-set look, forgoing the obvious fall-off inherit with studio lighting. Optimisations & macros were employed to reduce render time while retaining the original look parameters.

EXPANDING
OPPORTUNITIES

New shaders were leveraged & modified, allowing TD to render primary & secondary lighting effects using volumetrics. TD rendered many FX generated elements to obtain the best outcome for compositing, using the same render engine & deep data. Throughout the project I re-worked my projection tool & developed my frame upsampling tool which proved integral in delivering the project.
