IMPROVEMENTS
Due to my projection tool’s success, I enhanced it’s capabilities for use on Loki. This centered around time-saving features & plate projection improvements. This included automated injection of camera & overscan data & enhanced projection plane options. Provisions were made for anamorphic pixel aspect ratios & set relighting options for image-based shadow maps, ambient & directional occlusion.

NEW WORKFLOW
The projection tool was enhanced to operate at sequence level. A projection override tool was developed to enable modification of pre-existing plate & projection data such as image, tint & exposure values at shot level. This tool also featured provisions when layout geometry was repositioned. The tool could move entire coordinate systems & lightrigs to a desired object or arbitrary worldspace location.
LOOKDEV &
TRAINING
Along with tool development & day-to-day shot responsibilities, I started learning & performing basic lookdev tasks. This included formulating a workflow & establishing a look for grass elements. Additionally due to the expanding nature of the show, I mentored new artists joining ILM for the first time, created confluence training pages, videos & conducted in-person meetings.
